For those of you who follow my blog, I finally found a solution for the family room that kept nagging at me. I organized most of the house and am working on the office, but no amount of rearranging that room seemed to tame my restlessness. We have the same couches we have had since we got married almost nine years ago and the fabric was totally wearing. We didn't really budget in new couches this year so I finally decided to just redo things the cheap way. I found some slip covers, a couple of throw pillows and a new rug and now things look a little less "lived" in. Here are a couple of pictures of the new room. They're not great, but you get the idea. I don't really have a "before" picture so I'm attaching a couple of pictures that show the old couch and rug so you can kind of see the difference.

I love the slip covers. It looks great!!! I love to change things around in my house too. I also got new slip covers in the last 2-3 weeks. Isn't it nice when you find something you really like and gives your house a nice update?!?! I love good finds. Again, I love the new changes.
I love the new look. I had those same blue couches and they were cute, but not functional with children. I love the rug too!
