Dylan's Comforting Words

Yesterday I was having a stressed out moment.  When something bothers me, I often have a really difficult time putting it aside and moving on.  It's something I really need to work on.  I think about it and rehash conversations in my head or have "buyer's remorse".  Whatever the situation, I just worry too much.  I was stressing in the car about some pictures we had taken that just didn't turn out, but I bought them anyway because I'd been putting off taking pictures and didn't want to have to do it again.  I was pretty much making myself crazy when a sweet little voice from the backseat said, "Just relax, Mom.  It already happened so don't worry about it.  It's in the past now."  I was so blown away that I couldn't worry too much about what was bothering me.  I said, "You're right bud, thanks."  He continued comforting me and reminding me to relax and calm down.  I thought it was so cute so I asked a few follow up questions.  I said, "Okay, what should I do to calm myself down?"  Always quick to respond, he said, "Just take deep breaths like this" (and starts breathing deeply in and out).  Again I thanked him, nudged Marcos and smiled to myself.  The kid picks up on EVERYTHING!
