Dylan & Diego

Dylan and Diego have become such good buddies the last few months. They share, play well together, and when they do have a little fight, it is over in no time. Part of it is probably their age, but part of it is them. Their personalities just seem to work really well together. They have a lot of similar interests too. Boy things basically. So mainly animals and dinosaurs, but other boy-ish toys like trains, cars, trucks and balls sometimes can be seen in the mix as well.

Dylan has been having Diego withdrawals lately, not getting his twice-a-week fix at Amy's house. We figured out that Wednesday afternoons are a really good time for us to have Diego come over for a playdate. It works well with our schedule and helps Dylan get through the week. The past two Wednesdays, I picked him up and the boys played for a few hours. Here are a few pictures of them playing together. You'll notice that even when we do get the trains out, somehow animals are involved. Those two are so funny together.

Yesterday we went to the park because it was warm enough. You know you're getting desperate for the sun when you go to a park that's soggy and wet and still has snow on the ground just because the air temperature is tolerable. The kids had fun though. They ended up back here in the sandbox afterward and had a great time digging and playing Lion King in the sand. Crazy little boy cousins. They're so much fun!

And Preston's just happy to play and observe. He's starting to wonder what's going on in the other room if the kids leave the family room and he's stuck there alone. It won't be long before he wanders around after them. For now, he just sits in his stroller content to watch and looks up at the big boys from the bottom of the stairs. He's such a happy little baby!
