This morning Marcos and I woke up to the phone ringing...really early. It was my dad telling us that my grandma had passed away. My dear, sweet, loving grandma. I have so many mixed emotions right now. Reflecting on her life makes me happy, but we are going to miss her dearly. I have so many cherished memories of grandma. My children and I have developed a very close relationship with her over the past several years. Dylan is sad and keeps coming back to talk about her passing. Preston is completely oblivious, but I think will struggle when he sees her and finds out we won't get to visit GG anymore. He and GG had a special connection that was apparent to everyone. I am grateful she didn't have to struggle for years and decline a little bit at a time. I know she is in a better place with many loved ones. That too makes me happy and gives me peace. But I have to admit, I feel numb...and very sad. I feel grateful to have known her, loved her, spent time with her, been taught by her and loved by her. I'm sure I will have something more eloquent to say later. For now, I just wanted to say goodbye.
I love this picture...even though I'm in pajamas. You have to cut me a bit of slack. Marissa was only two days old. :)

I am so sorry for your loss, it is hard when our grandparents pass away, we know they are going to be in a better place where they won't have to suffer any longer, but they sure leave a void here. My Grandma has been gone now for about 18 years and I miss her quite often. You have some lovely pictures of her with your little ones, that is very special.
so sorry for your loss! How awesome that your kiddos had the chance to meet her and get to know her. She had a beautiful smile!
Thinking of you at this time.
I would be happy to help with anything. Just give me a call! :)
well said!! She will be missed dearly by those who knew her best! What an example of kindness she was...loved hearing her voice.
sending lots of love your way!!
So sorry Maria. :(
I know what you are going through! My grandpa died this last year and it is so bitter sweet! They will always have a special place in our hearts! These pictures are super special.
