Last night, we had dinner at Mercedes' house with some friends they knew when they lived in Brazil. We had a delicious dinner and great conversation with everyone. The kids had so much fun running around playing games in the dark. Marcos got off work late and was in Bountiful so we had two cars there. I took one car and headed down to Steve and Liv's house to see their new baby while Marcos got the kids in the car for bed.
This is baby Soren. He was born Monday, October 20. He was 9 lbs 2 oz and was 22 inches long. He is such a cute little thing. Steve and Liv are so happy and trying to get settled. It was good to see them and visit for a bit. Liv mentioned how weird it is to come home with a baby and have all this trivial stuff like laundry to think about. I can tell her world's been flipped upside down already. I love the pictures of the two of them staring at their baby boy. They're pretty enamored with the little guy. It's so sweet to watch new parents dealing with the overwhelming emotions that come along with a little bundle of joy. I was so shocked and thrilled to hear Liv say that she would do it all again for two days with a newborn. She had a HORRIBLE pregnancy so it was awesome to see how quickly she was able to forget the misery and focus in on her little miracle. Congratulations! We are so happy for you both!
