dog pile on grandma

Preston was so excited to play with Belle (Alicia's dog),
although he needed some help from Papi to be gentle
What with all my thoughts on the new year and what I want to do with myself, I failed to talk about New Year's Eve. Nothing fancy, just hanging out with family at Alicia and Nate's house with some yummy food and fun games. The shocking part - both of our kids stayed up until midnight. That's a first for sure! Last year I was the ONLY one who stayed up. Marcos and Dylan fell asleep around 11:00 and Preston was in bed at 8:00 so this year was a complete surprise. Sure, they're often awake at midnight, but not because they stayed up. For some reason my kids don't sleep through the night almost ever. No wonder I'm so exhausted all the time. Anyway, poor Preston was so tired he couldn't figure out what to do with himself. He was excited and running around one minute and falling on the floor with exhaustion the next. They were both gonners the second we put them in the car. Angie and Justin surprised us all by showing up during the party. It was good to spend some time with them since we hadn't seen them for awhile. The weather's been too crazy for travel and Justin has to plow when it's snowing, which makes winter trips more difficult. Anyway, I guess I had too much fun playing games because I didn't take many pictures. Here are a few I did manage to take.
