Day 7: Part 2 - Fun in the Sun

The beach was so much fun the second time around. With the help of Uncle Dave, the kids built a really cool "hot tub." It was like a fort made out of sand. We had quite the group in there digging and building - other kids couldn't help but join the fun. The tide kept moving up so we had to move the "hot tub" and even ended up needing to move our towels and bags several times. Crazy ocean! Preston was still brave, but I was much more relaxed the second time around. I still followed him around, but I knew as long as he was in reaching distance, I could grab him if he fell. He also discovered that bringing water in the bucket up to the hot tub was fun so that helped entertain him a bit. Dylan LOVED digging in the sand and found a pretty cool piece of sea weed that caught his attention. He also helped his girl cousins, Gabi and Leah, collect sea shells. What a helpful little cousin! :)
Laura and I dug belly holes in the sand so we could lay on our bellies. I have to admit, it was really fun to be able to lay on my stomach again. I was so comfortable and practically asleep when a big wave came up a little too high and woke us up in a hurry. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted! I have to say, I'm super glad we ditched Sea World early and spent a couple good hours in the sun. We had so much fun!
