Blog Award

I could hardly believe my eyes when I was reading my friend Tiffany's blog to find out she was nominating me for this blog award.  I have no idea what it means (I think it may be in Portuguese), but it's flattering that someone out there thinks my blog is worth reading.  I'm passing it along to Gail.  Gail is my first cousin once removed...I think.  My dad and her husband are cousins.  Gail posts often about anything and everything.  She has a great family and is always there for them.  She is always honest and stays true to who she is as a person.  So for what it's worth, here's this very fun blog award.

Oh my, Maria. I'm not sure I understand what being nominated for a blog award means, but I'm feeling very touched by your kind words. I think those are the sweetest words anyone has said about me in a VERY long time. It's pretty overwhelming to me that you feel that way. Thank you so much. I'm so proud to say that we're related. We love your mom, your dad and your sisters and their families so very much. I wish we lived closer to one another(so does Melanie!) so that we could do more together as a family. Wouldn't that be so fun? Thanks again, Maria.

I have no idea what it means either, but for me it was a way to have someone recognize what my words mean to them and to pass on what your words mean to me.

And yes, I wish we lived closer too. I think Braxton and Dylan would be such good buddies - and would be so fun to watch together. If ever we're all in the same area, we've got to have a huge family bash!

That sounds GREAT to me! I totally think you're right on with the Dylan and Braxton thing. They are both such boy boys -- all about the super heroes, swords, and sports. It was funny the other day the kids were here and I noticed Braxton moving around in kind of a funny way, lifting his legs behind me, etc off my himself. I asked him what he was doing and he said he was stretching like his dad does before he goes jogging. Okay -got it. The kid doesn't miss a thing! Please let us know if you are ever coming down this way. Just know you have a place to stay - we've got 5 bedrooms here at the "Hotel Denkers." I don't know a lot of Spanish, but the one phrase that I love the most in Spanish and I say it alot to family and friends is "mi casa es su casa." SO come anytime!! Love to have you!! Love, Gail

We may just take you up on that offer one of these days. A trip to southern CA sounds pretty good right about now. I can only take the winter for so long and then I'm ready for sun again.

Dylan does his exercises with Marcos - pushups, chinups, crunches, jumping jacks. It's quite amusing to watch. You're right, they don't miss a thing. That's what scares me. :)
